Iconic G speaks truth to power through evocative rap numbers, all rooted in the lived realities of Govandi’s youth. As they express their aspirations and struggles, they also call-out the injustice they witness and experience in everyday life. Iconic G celebrates rap as both art and resistance, echoing a hunger for learning, the courage to shed inhibitions, and the determination to find one’s footing amidst all odds.
आयकॉनिक G सत्ता को चुनौती देते हुए, अपने रैप के ज़रिए सच्चाई की बात सबके सामने रखता है। गोवंडी के युवकों की असल ज़िंदगी में बसे, ये रैप म्यूजिक उनकी उम्मीदों और संघर्षों को बयाँ करता है, और रोज़मर्रा की ज़िंदगी में दिखने-महसूस होने वाली नाइंसाफी के खिलाफ खुलकर बोलता हैं। आयकॉनिक G रैप को कला और विरोध का जरिया मानते हुए, अपनी सीखने की भूख, हौसला, और अपनी पहचान बनाने की जिद को आवाज़ देता है।

The act explores the universal human desire to belong and be accepted within society. It begins with one clown who struggles to fit in. The rest of the group, noticing his isolation, tries to include him–not through grand gestures, but through the sharing of their own stories. Each clown reveals personal experiences of pain, loss, and rejection, revealing the shared vulnerability that connects them all.
Through comedy, improvisation, and exaggeration, the clowns advocate for a humane and just world. The act mirrors how people often adapt, imitate, and perform to feel part of a community– reflecting the social and emotional realities of Govandi and its people, where the struggle for dignity, identity, and inclusion is deeply felt.
यह प्रस्तुति इस बात को दिखाती है कि हर इंसान समाज में अपनी जगह बनाने और स्वीकार किए जाने की इच्छा रखता है।
कहानी एक ऐसे क्लाउन से शुरू होती है जो खुद को दूसरों के बीच फिट नहीं कर पाता। बाकी क्लाउन जब उसका अकेलापन देखते हैं, तो वे उसे अपने ग्रुप में शामिल करने की कोशिश करते हैं—किसी बड़े तरीके से नहीं, बल्कि अपनी अपनी कहानी साझा करके।
हर क्लाउन अपने दुख, चोट, खोने और ठुकराए जाने का अनुभव बताता है। इससे पता चलता है कि उनके अंदर एक जैसी नर्मी और इंसानियत है, जो उन्हें आपस में जोड़ती है।
कॉमेडी, इम्प्रोवाइजेशन और हल्की-फुल्की बढ़ी-चढ़ी हुई हरकतों के ज़रिए ये क्लाउन एक दयालु और न्यायपूर्ण दुनिया की बात करते हैं।
यह प्रस्तुति दिखाती है कि लोग अक्सर समाज में फिट होने के लिए कैसे बदलते हैं । कैसे नकल करते हैं और अलग-अलग तरीके से खुद को पेश करते हैं ।यह प्रस्तुति यहीं, गोवंडी के लोगों की ज़िंदगी, भावनाओं और संघर्षों की झलक भी है, जहाँ इज़्ज़त, पहचान और शामिल किए जाने की लड़ाई बहुत वास्तविक है।

At its core, this play is an allegory about visibility, power, and the imagination of resistance. Set between the worlds of aliens and children from Govandi – a marginalized neighborhood in Mumbai, it begins as a farce and unfolds into a layered reflection on erasure and self-expression.
The story follows a group of 13 youth who discover, through a shared dream, that aliens plan to abduct them because they are talented yet their creativity is invisible to the world. Realising that no one would believe their warning, they decide to fight back not with weapons or authority, but with performance – by creating a play about their own impending abduction. This “play within a play” becomes their act of survival, reclaiming their narrative and asserting: we exist, and we matter.
Using humor, rap, and theatre, the play explores how art itself becomes a form of protest– a way for the young to speak truth to power. The aliens, at first powerful and distant, are ultimately defeated not by force but by visibility: the moment the children’s performance goes viral, the aliens lose their hold.
Through its fantastical premise, the play examines the social reality of Govandi’s community embedded in precarity and stigma while also celebrating the imagination and resilience of its youth and children.
इस नाटक की कहानी दिखाई देने, ख़ुदकी पहचान और हिम्मत के बारे में है। कहानी दो दुनिया में चलती है - एक तरफ़ एलियंस और दूसरी तरफ़ गोवंडी के बच्चे। शुरुआत में सब मज़ेदार और हँसी-मज़ाक जैसा लगता है, लेकिन आगे जाकर नाटक एक गहरी बात कहता है, कि अपनी आवाज़ और अपने टैलेंट को छिपने नहीं देना चाहिए।
कहानी में 13 बच्चे हैं। उन्हें एक एक-सा सपना आता है कि एलियंस उन्हें ले जाना चाहते हैं, क्योंकि बच्चे बहुत टैलेंटेड हैं, लेकिन दुनिया उन्हें पहचानती नहीं। बच्चे समझ जाते हैं कि कोई उनकी बात नहीं मानेगा, इसलिए वे लड़ाई हथियारों से नहीं, बल्कि अपनी कला से अपनी बात पहुंचाने का फैसला करते हैं।
वे अपनी अपहरण की कहानी पर ही एक नाटक बनाते हैं। यही नाटक उनका बचाव बन जाता है। वे दुनिया को दिखाते हैं: हम यहाँ हैं, और हम भी उतने ही जरूरी हैं।
हास्य, रैप और एक्टिंग के ज़रिए यह नाटक दिखाता है कि कला भी विरोध करने और सच बोलने का तरीका है।
आख़िर में एलियंस बच्चों की ताक़त से नहीं, बल्कि बच्चों के दिखाई देने से हार जाते हैं. जैसे ही बच्चों का नाटक वायरल होता है, एलियंस की शक्ति चली जाती है।
यह नाटक गोवंडी की असल ज़िंदगी को छूता है जहाँ मुश्किलें हैं, लेकिन वहीं बच्चों के सपने , हिम्मत और कल्पनाएं भी है, जो उन्हें आगे बढ़ने की ताक़त देती है।

A conscious sound collective that is inspired by nature & everything around them, Jungle Assembly features Udith, a beatboxer and music producer, MDA, a competitive beatboxer turned composer and Danish, our very own Rap and Music mentor, a veteran emcee and musician who recently made a mark in India’s Biggest Rap Reality Show: MTV Hustle S04 alongside various other artists.
